I can't get enough of this! Quiet Dog over and over.. It's got heart, soul, compassion, style, rhyme and rhythm. Buy it! Hear it! Love it! over and over and over...

4 out of 5 stars Great new work from Mos Def   December 20, 2009
Kenyatta Donley (Philly)
This is classic Mos Def style and a definite addition for any Mos Def fan or a fan of just good Hip Hop in its truest form.

5 out of 5 stars What it is   December 18, 2009
Jammer Kingston (West coast, mid west, an big south)
this album takes a few listens to get used to like any mos def album but i like it alot an i play it almost everyday. an slick rick lays down one of the sickest verses of the year on auditorium. by the way true magic is not that bad i like it more than the new danger

4 out of 5 stars Solid Mos Def   December 11, 2009
Chris Horton (Atlanta, GA)
Mos Def has always gone all over the map with trying new approaches. His history and collaborations with The Roots have definitely rubbed off as he takes opportunities to actually breathe on this album and let the music earn its paycheck. Some of the segues are hilarious with a tongue in cheek political stabs at the airline industry and how fear has ravaged our psyche and way of life. This is Mos Def at his best with a lot introspective lyrical content that lets you even further into his "business". If you even slightly like Mos Def, you'll really like this album.
